Senior Business Analyst - Avaloq Consultant

What You Will Do

As a Senior IT Consultant specializing in Wealth Management & Digital Transformation, you will engage with clients throughout the entire project lifecycle, ensuring the successful implementation of technology solutions, particularly around the Avaloq platform. You will play a critical role in leading large-scale projects, advising on technology and process optimizations, and delivering high-impact results.

The main responsibilities will be:

• Leading and facilitating workshops with clients and stakeholders, showcasing Avaloq’s capabilities, and gathering detailed business and technical requirements.
• Advising clients on optimal solutions, recommending configuration options, and documenting all outcomes of solution validation.
• Managing the end-to-end delivery of digital transformation projects in wealth management, ensuring alignment with business objectives, timelines, and budgets.
• Overseeing the integration of technology solutions, focusing on Avaloq and other core banking platforms, ensuring seamless operation across multiple business units and regions.
• Acting as a trusted advisor, providing strategic guidance on technology upgrades, buy vs. build decisions, and process optimizations.
• Coordinating cross-functional teams and managing risk oversight throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintaining continuous communication with clients, addressing any issues, and ensuring smooth deployment through system integration and user acceptance testing.
• Creating detailed reports, managing project documentation, and overseeing key deliverables, ensuring precision and alignment with project goals.
• Conducting technical analysis of data flows across multiple systems, ensuring data integrity, application performance, and addressing any issues that arise during implementation.
• Leading the design of integration strategies, including SWIFT and FIX connectivity, ensuring seamless communication between wealth management platforms and third-party systems.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of experience in IT consulting, with a strong focus on wealth management and digital transformation projects.
• Extensive experience with the Avaloq platform (or similar core banking systems) is essential.
• Proven track record in managing and delivering large-scale technology projects in banking and wealth management.
• Strong technical skills, including expertise in Avaloq, Oracle SQL, and integration technologies such as SWIFT and FIX.
• Solid understanding of project management methodologies (PMP, Prince2) and experience in managing cross-functional teams across multiple regions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing senior stakeholders and leading client-facing engagements.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
